Collserola Natural Park is the mountain that surrounds Barcelona. With 8.000 hectares of Mediterranean forest, it allows us to discover surprising and amazing natural spots without getting away too much from the city while walking 2,5 hours through the forest area. We will enjoy impressive aerial panoramic views of Barcelona city and the Mediterranean Sea.

This is an easy half-day hike, ideal for getting to know the striking natural beauty of the area around Barcelona City.

Includes:

The tour begins at 9:00, when your mountain guide picks you up from the meeting point located in Barcelona center. In 16 minutes the FGC train will leave us at Collserola Natural park.

Once there, with your small group of 8 or less people, hike for 2,5 hours through a forest area, with a variety of plant formations that give it a valuable biological diversity and enjoy spectacular views of Barcelona skyline. Your guide will select different routes, depending upon the group’s preference.

Hiking back, you will visit the village of Vallvidrera, located at 362 m. (1.187 ft.) above sea level, attached to Barcelona neighborhood. A spot with great views and wonderful Modernist architecture of the early twentieth century.  From there you will take the Vallvidrera Funicular, down to city center while enjoying again nice views of Barcelona skyline and the sea.  A simple walk with few slopes and excellent views over the city.

Returning back to Barcelona center around 13:30

– Group: 2 to 8 people plus the guide. Check with us for groups of more than 8 people.

– What to Bring: Small backpack, hiking footwear, raincoat, polar fleece or similar warm layer, sunglasses. In summer, also bring a hat and sunscreen.

– We recommend bringing snacks and water or drinks.

– The tour will take place rain or shine but you’ll always have the possibility to change date depending on the forecast.
