Pick up at 8:30 at your meeting point in Barcelona. Your mountain guide will take you to Costa Brava. We always drive air-conditioned vehicles.
This is a very wild hike. It’s true that Costa Brava is a very touristic area but we have chosen an itinerary off the beaten path. Forests, hidden coves and astonishing views of the blue sea and the rocky coast.
“Camino de Ronda”, runs down the steep Costa Brava and was used to prevent smuggling after the Spanish Civil war in 1939. We will visit the ruins of an iberian village from the 6th century B.C. located in one of the spectacular cliffs that Costa Brava has.
In summer time you’ll have the chance to stop for swimming in some of the coves we will walk through during the hike, always near the blue Mediterranean sea, so don’t forget your swimming suit and snorkeling gear! One of those coves, will be the place to stop for a picnic lunch in front of the sea. Before finishing the hike we will stop to a typical fishing village of Costa Brava, nowadays sharing the fishing tradition with the tourist activity.
It is an up & down trail, copying the variable coastline, with no big hills to climb on the way. We’ll return to the meeting point in Barcelona at around 17:30
